december 2023 tunes~

Yoohoo~! Finally finishing 2023 thank god. The only missing piece after this is my top songs 2023......

December 1st was Melo's 1st birthday~~~~!!!!!! He was the cutest little THANG on his birthday (picture at the end of the post), and I am so glad his daycare let him celebrate before we moved to my parent's place! We go on talks with Mama in the woods, and I started dressing more like a dude for fun (to match the haircut and to lean into being more non-binary presentation wise). Mom hated it but it was actually super fun for me. A very nice change and I tried to take this new persona out into the dating world just to see what's up. Shocker - I was hot XP And shocker, the guy interested was WACK AF. MOVIN ON!

I went to the holiday train with my mom, a holiday music performance with my mom and my brother, and even tried to get a season pass for a local ski hill with my brother... NO SNOW THO UGH. We ended up just going on Local's Night at Devil's Head. I gotta say tho, the Goodwill in Tomah, WI is so freaking good for awesome cops.

I am glad I made a few trips to Milwaukee to do game night with my coworkers and hang out with Sammi! I even got to save my monstera before the plants die in January. I went to a wine tasting at the plant killer's mom's house and I totally gelled with the family so hard THANK GOD. They told me I look like Janet from Three's Company? I'll serve janet I don't mind ;)

Christmas.... ooohhhhh Nelly. I decided to have such good outfits this year - NO DRESSES ONLY PJS AND JUMPSUITS! I loved it and was so fucking high a good portion of it to cope being around my family that don't give a f about moi! Highkey fun playing with my 1 year old cousin, and I absolutely love spending time with my sister-cousins on my mom's side. I blasted through the last of the Hunger Games series (finally) and even started a book Sammi bought me to satisfy some of my guilty pleasures 🤤 I finished 2023 going back to Milwaukee to be with said Sammi and CELEBRATE HER BIRTHDAY WOOT WOOT! And I love that this new years was UNLIKE last new years aka. I get invited to a party that is hosted under my new apt and I end up coming home to an empty house? Thank you bastard landlord - real suave. So, I go back to Sammi, and we get locked outta her apt. This year however, we get drunk, watch the Hunger Games, eat Mexican food at our favorite Mexican restaurant with her friends, and pass out after eating cake (i get too high off of eddies and wake up to roll off my air mattress and sleep on the sweet sweet ground after finding it most likely uncool to pass out in the bathroom like I did 30 mins previously).

Full 2023 tunes might not come - depends on how I feel - but there will be a shift in these monthly music blog posts that hopefully will be more sustainable? Stay tuned I guess ;P
